TEDx at Carrollwood Day School
About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDx Carrollwood Day School, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDx Carrollwood Day School event, live speakers will spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. TED provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations)
About The Theme: Risk-Takers
Risk-taking is a catalyst for growth, creativity, and change. It demands a willingness to act without comfort, to confront fear, and to move forward when the outcome is uncertain.
This theme highlights the bold spirit of today’s youth, who are constantly navigating moments that require courage and conviction. Young people take risks when they share their stories, challenge expectations, and pursue ideas that often feel out of reach.
Together, we’ll explore a series of moments shaped by bravery, where stepping outside comfort zones leads to transformation, and where choosing to take a risk can spark meaningful impact.
