What is Annual Giving?
Carrollwood Day School’s Annual Giving program is the school’s most important fundraising priority. Annual Giving dollars provide essential support to the school’s operating budget. These donations allow CDS to fully support the educational, physical, and social experiences for all students and can provide opportunities to expand and enhance our academic and co-curricular activities. A robust Annual Giving program also enables CDS to keep tuition increases at a minimum. Unlike tuition, contributions to Annual Giving are fully tax-deductible and gifts at all levels are very much appreciated!
What is a fair donation to Annual Giving?
We know that many families are looking for guidance on how much to give. At independent schools, the national average for Annual Giving gifts is just over $1,500. We count on the generosity of all our families to collectively help us meet our financial goals, as tuition does not fully cover the cost of educating each student. The Annual Giving parent participation goal for the year is always 100%.
What is The Talon Society?
The Talon Society pays tribute to our more than 40 years of excellence in education. Annual donors who donate $1,000 or more to Annual Giving in a fiscal year are recognized as members of this society. Each year, members receive an invitation to a private reception in gratitude for their generosity.
How will my gift be used?
Annual Giving funds go directly towards this year’s operating budget. These donations impact all aspects of our school from faculty/staff professional development, to facilities upkeep, and student life. In addition to indicating support of the school, high Annual Giving participation rates speak volumes to foundations, corporations, and prospective families and faculty about our community’s commitment to the success and advancement of Carrollwood Day School. Your participation encourages others to give and can help the school secure outside funding.
How can I make my Annual Giving donation?
We have many options available. You may pay with cash, check, and credit card or online under Giving to CDS. You can always make a pledge and fulfill it by June 30, 2023.
