With nearly two decades as a visionary educator, designer, and innovator, Brendan Brennan has dedicated his career to transforming learning experiences through cutting-edge instructional design and professional growth initiatives. He is now Carrollwood Day School's new Director of Entrepreneurship.

Mr. Brennan’s prior work consistently blended human-centered pedagogy with advanced technology, particularly in AI-supported learning. His innovative spirit is evident in his diverse leadership roles, including his time at Ednovate Inc. where he pioneered "The Stack" learning framework, significantly boosting student math improvement and college readiness. His efforts also led to a remarkable 203% improvement in SBAC-aligned test scores and the launch of the "Moonshot Laboratory" to empower community problem-solving.

As a Co-founder and Director of Learning at Design Mindset, he designed next-generation educational resources, including AI-integrated curricula and asynchronous courses. His expertise also extends to overseeing the development of an education-focused AI assistant for one of the world's largest interactive display developers.

Previously, as Director of Innovation at ARES Learning and The Moonshot Laboratory, Mr. Brennan fused design thinking with "Moonshot Thinking," fostering student agency through a "teach-from-behind" pedagogical approach. He notably launched an innovation lab for indigenous Hawaiian and Polynesian students, funded by Kamehameha Schools, integrating Western, Eastern, and indigenous innovation practices.

His impact also includes leading the "Future Ready Learning" project at The Janus Group, which transformed education for 175,000 students and 14,000 teachers in one of the largest U.S. school districts.

Mr. Brennan also served as a Partner and Consultant for Google, contributing to their Global PD Strategy Team and co-developing content for initiatives like Google Expeditions.

Mr. Brennan’s career reflects a profound commitment to preparing students for the future by fostering critical thinking, agency, and problem-solving skills through thoughtful design and innovative technological integration. Carrollwood Day School enthusiastically welcomes Mr. Brennan to spearhead our Entrepreneurship Institute, confident that his leadership will profoundly shape our students, faculty, and staff for real-world success.
