Bearss Avenue Camps meet from June 5th - July 28th
Themed Half Day/Full Day Camp 2023!
CDS is excited to offer a themed half day and full day summer camp program for students entering grades 1 - 5. Campers will be grouped according to age and grade level and will participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor age-appropriate activities. Each week will follow a special theme. See themes below.

Themed Full Day Camp: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm | $330 per week
Themed Half Day Camp: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm | $225 per week
Week 1 | June 5 - 9
PASSPORT TO ADVENTURE WEEK
This week our campers will travel all around the world this summer without leaving Tampa! Passport to Adventure week will offer hands-on learning about other countries and cultures! Our first stop is Japan, from there we will visit Italy, India, Egypt and Mexico!
Week 2 | June 12 - 16
SPACE EXPLORATION WEEK
We’re blasting off to outer space for this week of camp! During Space Exploration week, campers will learn about the solar system, be an astronaut and craft their own stars, planets and rocket ships! We will be launching our campers into a galaxy of fun and learning while we take a trip to Mosi and incorporate space adventure-filled games.

MYSTERY MADNESS WEEK
Our campers will become daring detectives, as they learn how to find evidence, uncover clues and follow their hunches during this mystery-filled week of camp. Join us in order to solve the next biggest mystery!

JURASSIC WORLD WEEK
Jurassic World week will take our campers on an adventure back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the Earth! Join us in an exploration of the prehistoric world, where campers will become paleontologists. We will learn about the lives of these amazing extinct creatures through thought-provoking and fun activities as well as take a trip to Dinosaur World!

ANIMAL PLANET WEEK
Get ready to go wild and be animal explorers this week. We will make all kinds of crafts, play games, and join the jungle world.
Week 6 | July 17 - 21
HOGWARTS CAMP FOR WITCHES AND WIZARDS WEEK
Your camper has read the books written by J.K. Rowling; now it’s time for them to head off to Hogwarts Camp for Witches and Wizards! This week, the Sorting Hat will assign campers to houses and the camp will be filled with wand-making, Quidditch, a variety of wizard treats, Harry Potter trivia, new spell challenges, a Horcrux scavenger hunt, and much more! Register now to ensure an owl delivers your camper’s acceptance letter!

ENDLESS SUMMER WEEK
Enjoy the best parts of summer! Water fun competition, slides and balloon fights galore. Don't forget to bring your bathing suite and a change of clothes.
All campers need to have the Consent, Authorization, and Release Form completed prior to their first day of camp.

The rates above are ONLY for our Day Camp. Enrichment and Academic prices vary by camp but range from $225 to $700.
Before/After Care
Summer at CDS offers an early morning care program that allows parents to drop their student/s off as early as 7:30 am. We also offer an extended day program until 5:30 pm daily.
- There is a flat fee for a full week.
- Before Care is free and parents can drop off as early as 7:30 am
- The fee for After Care is $60.
- If your child is dropped off for more than 30 mins before camp starts or stays 30 mins after camp ends, they will be charged.
- Before and After Care is available for registration online before the week camp begins.
Registration Policies
Camps are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Camps fill up quickly, so early registration is encouraged.
Changes
We are implementing a new policy for unregistered additional attendance. Any camper who is picked up late (more than 30 minutes after their designated camp start/end time) will be charged an additional fee and risk future camp enrollment. For any emergencies regarding late pick-up or drop off, please contact the Auxiliary Manager.
We make every effort to accommodate changes in camper enrollment prior to the deadline date, May 13th. After the deadline date no changes can be made. Please contact the Auxiliary Programs Office to inquire about your specific needs. All changes in enrollment are dependent upon availability.
The online registration deadline for camp is the week prior to the camp start date!
Refunds
Any money paid toward camp registrations are refundable or transferable up until Friday, May 12, 2023, provided that the Auxiliary Programs office has been notified in writing of the withdrawal. Prior to May 12, balances may be transferred to another program based on availability or applied to another immediate family member, again based on availability. After May 12, no refunds can be made. All sales are final.
Cancellations
CDS reserves the right to cancel any camp that does not meet the minimum required number of camper registrations. In the event of a camp cancellation, all camp fees already paid to the school will be refunded.
