CDS Kindergarten classes help provide clean water for Rwandans and help local homeless, too!
We did it! Thank you to everyone who bought socks during the kindergarten classes' sock campaign! They sold a total of 168 packs of socks! Through their partnership with We Help Two, they sold enough to cover 50% of the cost for a clean water project for people in Rwanda. They will join with another school to complete this project in the new year! In January they look forward to receiving photos of the actual projects and lives that they helped to change!
In addition to helping provide clean water to people in Rwanda, they are also getting 168 pairs of socks to donate locally. The kindergarten classes will double their good work by donating the socks to a place in Tampa that serves the homeless population.
Kindergarten is very excited that they helped to make a difference in another part of the world. They were very passionate about the fact that we all need to have clean water to drink. They are grateful for the opportunity to work with the organization, We Help Two, and learn first hand about being kind and caring.
