Hillsborough County Public Utilities and the City of Tampa Water Department invited students in the Hillsborough County to participate in their "Drop Savers" poster contest. Students in grades K-12 were encouraged to create a poster depicting a water conservation idea focusing on the importance of water conservation.

We are so proud of Gabriel L. (’27) for his first place win in the middle school division. Along with posters by the other Hillsborough County winners, his poster will be submitted in the American Water Works Association’s Florida Section competition, with more prizes and statewide recognition on the line.

CDS is pleased to be receiving a bottle-filling water station and reusable water bottles for our MS art room as part of Gabriel’s award. CDS has numerous bottle-filling stations installed throughout the school as part of our school-wide commitment to help the environment by eliminating plastic bottles from the waste stream.
