LS Media Specialist, Mrs. Hollin is excited to welcome students back to the Media Center this year! After a year of limited use due to Covid, the Lower School Media Center is open and ready to be busier than ever!

Library book circulation has begun. There are check-out periods throughout the week! This includes free checkout between 7:40 and 8:00 a.m. Students can visit the Media Center during these check-out times in small groups to browse and select books they want to read. Mrs. Hollin will assist students to find books that will expand their knowledge, inspire creativity, and support all areas of their growth and development. If a book your child loves is not available, they should let Mrs. Hollin know so she can add it to our collection!

We are very excited to introduce Exploration Stations in the Media Center! Classroom teachers can sign up for 30-minute sessions throughout the week. Both Mrs. Hollin and the classroom teacher will be available to assist students extend their learning on topics related to their Unit of Inquiry, passion projects, research, or any activity that interests them. The focus will be on engaging students in the design cycle: independently developing and executing a plan and then reflecting on the process.
