Laney Higgins ' 22, a volleyball signee at Oglethorpe University, has recently made headlines for her exceptional leadership in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) in sports marketing. A recent article from Oglethorpe University highlights Laney's remarkable journey and her impact on the world of collegiate athletics.

Laney has emerged as a trailblazer for women in sports marketing, leveraging her platform as a student-athlete to advocate for greater opportunities and representation for female athletes. Reflecting on her formative years at Carrollwood Day School, Laney credits CDS's International Baccalaureate (IB) program for laying the groundwork for her success. Laney expresses gratitude for the invaluable lessons in knowledge, entrepreneurship, and leadership that she acquired during her time at CDS. “Carrollwood Day School’s IB program instilled in me an amazing foundation of knowledge, entrepreneurship, leadership and so much more. The program really helped prepare me for not only college but also my professional career. I could not be more grateful to the CDS administration, facility, and staff for all that they invested in me and my classmates.”
