At Carrollwood Day School we take immense pride in the accomplishments of our alumni. We are thrilled to spotlight Kelly Edson, a member of the Class of ‘14, whose journey in the public relations and beauty industry is rapidly gaining momentum.
After graduating from CDS, Kelly pursued a degree in public relations at Florida State University. Her career began in Atlanta, where she spent three years working in advertising. However, Kelly always had a passion for the skincare and beauty industry. To keep her dream in focus, she created a vision board that guided her aspirations.
In March 2021, Kelly achieved a significant milestone by joining BEAUTYBIO as an Assistant Manager of Global TV Sales. BEAUTYBIO, a renowned brand sold in Ulta, Sephora, and Nordstrom, leverages Kelly's expertise to facilitate and follow through with on-air sales. She has worked with major accounts to feature BEAUTYBIO's products, including HSN, QVC, Good Morning America, and The View, which showcases her impressive skill set and dedication.
Reflecting on her time at CDS, Kelly fondly remembers, "The best part of CDS was the people, and I still believe it to this day. I loved the small classes, individualized learning, and the fact that teachers and students all know each other."
Kelly's positive experiences at CDS have fueled her enthusiasm for staying connected with the school community. She looks forward to more networking events and meet-ups around Tampa with fellow CDS alumni.
Kelly Edson's progression from CDS to a flourishing career in the beauty industry showcases the power of determination and vision, grounded in the solid foundation she established at Carrollwood Day School.
