Bailey (Drury) Floyd, Class of 2012, began her journey at Carrollwood Day School as a freshman and quickly became an integral part of the school’s vibrant community. With a passion for athletics, she found her stride in track and field, but also recalls the close-knit environment of CDS, where she forged lifelong friendships and embraced the school’s values. Among the remarkable relationships she built was with her high school sweetheart, Dillon Floyd, whom she later married. Her time at CDS not only fostered her determination but also cultivated a deep love for community that continues to guide her through life.
"Our graduating class of 2012 was small, and I’m deeply grateful for the remarkable people and friends I met through CDS, many of whom I’ve grown close to over the years. I’m especially thankful to have married my high school sweetheart, Dillon Floyd."
After graduating from CDS, Bailey attended Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she studied Business Administration, Communications, and Sports Management. As a collegiate athlete, she earned the prestigious titles of SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Year in both 2015 and 2016, and set university records in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. She also worked with the San Antonio Spurs, managing stats on game nights and assisting with pre- and post-game locker room interviews. Following graduation, she returned to Tampa and worked with the Outback Bowl (now ReliaQuest Bowl) for a college football season before diving into the creative agency world. Her fast-paced experiences in sports and public relations laid the groundwork for her entrepreneurial journey.
In June 2021, Bailey founded Bais Creative & Public Relations, a boutique public relations and social media agency. What began as a freelancing gig to support small businesses has grown into a thriving agency with a team of seven full-time employees and three contractors. Bais Creative & Public Relations partners with brands locally and nationally, helping elevate their online presence and earn the visibility they deserve.
Bailey’s vision for her career was rooted in her desire to experience all that life has to offer while working hard and maintaining balance. “I didn’t want to have to choose between a family event or celebrating a life milestone and a career that I loved. I craved the flexibility of having both,” she explains. Today, she finds joy in helping businesses tell their stories and connect with their communities.
“Every business has a compelling story ready to be shared, and I love building relationships with my clients to help convey these storylines in a way that resonates with their target audience. Helping our client partners succeed fills my cup.”
Bailey’s journey from excelling on the track at CDS to leading her own successful agency, is an inspiring reminder of the impact of perseverance, passion, and a supportive community. Patriot Nation is proud to celebrate Bailey’s achievements and looks forward to seeing her continue to thrive both personally and professionally.
