In the realm of academic excellence and spirited competition, the members of Carrollwood Day School's Beta and Jr. Beta clubs have once again proven their mettle. Recently, these outstanding students participated in the Florida Junior and Senior Beta State Convention, leaving a mark of triumph in various competitions.
From January 24th to 26th, members from 6th to 8th grade showcased their talents across a spectrum of categories including Academics, Creative Writing, Quiz Bowl, Visual Arts, and Small Group Performances. Their dedication and hard work bore fruit as several students clinched top positions in the state, earning them the esteemed invitation to compete at the Junior Beta Nationals in Savannah, GA this summer.

- 8th Grade Language and Literature: Lilly R. - 2nd Place
- 8th Grade Math: Owen P. - 2nd Place
The collaborative efforts of the following students in the Small Group Performance category secured them a commendable 3rd Place:

The talent of Michael D. also earned him the prestigious title of Premier Performer in the Vocalist category, a recognition bestowed by national judges scouting for exceptional talent nationwide.
Additionally, our Upper School students earned accolades in various academic disciplines:

- BioMed Science: Adele S. (2nd place)
- Digital Art: Gabe L. (3rd place)
- Drawing: Caroline C. (3rd place)
- French: Samantha H. (1st place)

- Social Studies: Aarnav C. (1st place)
These victories at the state level now pave the way for these exceptional students to showcase their talents at the national level during the upcoming National Convention at the Savannah International Convention Center during the Summer of 2024.
