We are excited to celebrate the incredible achievements of our Carrollwood Day School students at the 2025 HOSA Suncoast Winter Leadership Conference on January 25th. This year, 28 of our students competed against hundreds of participants from the region. Eighteen will be advancing to the state competition later this year.
HOSA, a global student-led organization, empowers Future Healthcare Professionals to become leaders in the medical field through education, collaboration, and hands-on experience. Our students exemplified this mission through their dedication and perseverance, and their passion for a future in healthcare.
This year’s competition showcased the outstanding ability of our students, with remarkable top-three finishes across multiple healthcare fields. They dominated Biomedical Debate, while also excelling in Pharmacy, Dental Sciences, and Nursing, among many other categories.
Their incredible achievements are a testament to the unwavering support and mentorship provided by our CDS community, especially their dedicated HOSA Advisors Kiran Vaswani-Sippy - Upper School Chemistry Teacher, Lisa Esch - Upper School Physics Teacher, and Heather Shemery - Upper School Biology Teacher.
As these Future Healthcare Professionals move on to the state competition, we look forward to seeing them continue to shine and represent CDS with the same dedication and passion they displayed at the regional level. Congratulations to all the students who participated, and best of luck to those advancing to states!
