Carrollwood Day School is buzzing with excitement and pride as we honor two exceptional Middle School musicians for their remarkable achievements at the Florida Music Educators Association's (FMEA) Annual Conference.
Our Middle School boasts incredible musical talents, and two students have risen to the prestigious All-State status. Lauren A., an eighth-grade violinist, showcased her excellence as she earned a spot in the FMEA MS Honors Orchestra. The experience was nothing short of magical for Lauren, who reveled in the joy of rehearsing and performing alongside Florida's top middle school musicians.
Kristofer K., an eighth-grade composer, submitted an original recording, "Grand Finale," for the FMEA Digital Music Showcase. This unique platform celebrates musicians who create magic through digital technology. Kris's composition stood out, earning him the opportunity to present at the annual FMEA conference in the Digital Music Showcase. Only the top 25 entries were selected. This was Kris's second year as a presenter for this unique showcase.
The FMEA All-State, known for its exceptional selectivity, brings together the finest musicians from across the state. Lauren and Kristofer represented CDS with distinction and showcased the musical excellence synonymous with the CDS Middle School Music Program.
Thank you to CDS Middle School Music Teacher, Amy Callahan, for her unwavering support.
