An Unforgettable Night of the Arts
Upper School Art Show

The Night of the Arts at Carrollwood Day School was a spectacular event that showcased the artistic talent of its students. The event featured a wide variety of 2D and 3D art pieces, short films from the film students, and music exhibitions of a pianist, violinist, flutist, and electronic DJ.

The 2D and 3D art pieces were displayed throughout the school's hallways, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the students' creativity. The pieces ranged from paintings, drawings, and sculptures, to multimedia works that explored various themes and concepts. The attention to detail and the quality of the art pieces were a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students and their teachers.

The short films from the school's film students were screened in a separate room, where the audience could enjoy the fruits of their labor. The films showcased the students' talents in storytelling, cinematography, and editing, and tackled a variety of themes, from real-world challenges to historical storytelling.

The music exhibitions were equally impressive, with 8th-grade piano player, Kiyana R., performing Clair De Lune, Vasili Sotiropoulos (11th grade) showcasing his violin skills; and flutist, Chelsea Alderman (11th grade) astounding the audience with her flute performance. The performers' passion and dedication to their craft were evident in their performances.

The electronic DJ was a unique addition to the event, bringing a modern twist to the traditional music performances. Senior T.C. Le, also known as T Soy Sauce, let his beats and rhythms energize the audience, creating a lively atmosphere that complemented the other art exhibitions. With the lights down low, T Soy Sauce mixed his own digital creations with some of his fellow classmates' sounds to create an atmosphere comparable to a deadmau5 concert.

Overall, the Night of the Arts at Carrollwood Day School was a night to remember, showcasing the school's commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression among its students. The event was a testament to the student's talents and the school's dedication to providing a well-rounded education that includes the arts.
