CDS recently caught up with Emma Architetto, a Class of 2020 graduate, to hear how she has parlayed her love of sports into a successful career. Her journey has been a testament to her unwavering determination, passion, and dedication to pursuing her dreams. Emma's love for sports began at a young age and seamlessly carried over into her time at Carrollwood Day School. Reflecting on her experiences at CDS, Emma credits her involvement in a wide range of activities for shaping the skills she now relies on daily in her role an Account Executive for Membership Sales and Service with the Tampa Bay Lightning. From track and field to the soccer field, to leadership roles in student organizations, these formative experiences laid the foundation for her thriving career in the sports industry.
“Some of the most rewarding aspects of my time at CDS were spent both in the classroom and on the track and field. From winning many district championships with the Women’s Varsity Soccer team, to placing third at the Florida State track and field championships, to sharing my signing day experience of playing soccer in college in front of the whole student body, to presenting my Theory of Knowledge project, I thoroughly enjoyed being involved on campus in all different aspects.”
After graduating from CDS, Emma continued her academic and athletic journey at Rollins College, where she studied Business Administration and graduated in 2024. While at Rollins, she played college soccer, where her involvement in college athletics further solidified her lifelong dream of working in the sports industry.
Soon after graduation, Emma’s career breakthrough came rather unexpectedly. It began when she scheduled a meeting with a Tampa Bay Lightning Executive to learn more about working in the sports industry. Fortuitously, she then saw an Instagram ad promoting a job fair at Amalie Arena and connected with recruiters from the Lightning organization who quickly recognized her potential. When she told them she had a meeting scheduled later that day, they realized it was with the hiring manager, and made the meeting an actual job interview! Emma was able to secure a position, turning what was supposed to be an informal conversation, into the start of a promising career. Today, as an Account Executive for Membership Sales and Service with the Lightning, Emma helps fans create unforgettable experiences at AMALIE Arena.
"I love my job because I help create lasting memories for families, friends, and colleagues."
Emma’s goal in her role with the Tampa Bay Lightning is to develop and maintain professional relationships with Season Ticket Members and new clients alike, giving them the ultimate game day, concert, or special event experience. She is committed to providing top-notch, face-to-face service to fans, ensuring that every visit to AMALIE Arena is memorable. Emma’s story is a powerful reminder of how passion, perseverance, and the willingness to seize opportunities can lead to success. Reflecting on her journey, she says,
“My time at Carrollwood Day School fills me with immense joy. The relationships I built during those years made my experience at CDS truly unforgettable, and I am forever grateful for the time I spent there.”
From her days at Carrollwood Day School, to her current role with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Emma has continuously demonstrated the importance of staying dedicated to her goals. As she continues to help create unforgettable experiences for fans and businesses alike, there’s no doubt that Emma's career will keep rising, and the CDS community is sure that the best is yet to come.
"To all my fellow Bolts fans, if you ever need anything at AMALIE Arena, whether it's Lightning-related or for a concert/event, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I can be reached at earchitetto@viniksportsgroup.com or (813) 301-6719."
