Alumni Update: Ben Gersten, Senior Living Placement Entrepreneur

Carrollwood Day School is proud of the achievements of its alumni and is always eager to hear about their post-graduation experiences! CDS maintains a vibrant alumni community and encourages graduates to stay connected through various events and initiatives.

Recently, we caught up with Ben Gersten 11', to learn about his career and achievements since graduation. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Health Administration with a concentration in Aging Services and a minor in Community Leadership from the University of North Florida in 2015, Ben began working in senior living sales and marketing for various independent, assisted, and memory care communities.

After several years in the field, Ben founded his own company, A Move To Improve, which provides free resources and assistance to families looking for senior living communities for their loved ones. Ben takes a personal and specific approach to each family he works with, ensuring that he understands their unique needs and preferences and matches them with the most fitting communities.

Ben's dedication to helping families navigate the complex process of finding senior living placements has earned him recognition in the Tampa Bay area. He is heavily involved with multiple Jewish organizations and groups and has built a reputation for his compassionate and effective approach to senior living placement.

In addition to his successful career, Ben recently got married in January 2023, and we wish him all the best in his personal life and future endeavors!

When asked if his time at CDS influenced his current path, Ben shared that CDS instilled in him the importance of supporting one's community, which has been a guiding principle throughout his career.

My time at CDS influenced me to help many families throughout my career. CDS instilled in me how important supporting one's community is.
