Jamie Kiner is a self-directed, enthusiastic educator committed to student development, the learning experience, and enriching students’ lives. She is a native of Naples, Florida, and a graduate from Florida State University, where she earned a B.A. in English and minored in communications and journalism. She was also a collegiate athlete.
After undergraduate school, she worked for ESPN as a writer, reporter, and producer in Bristol, CT. Years later, Jamie’s passion for children and education led her to Florida Gulf Coast University, where she earned her masters in education and was awarded a scholarship to study at Oxford University in England.
She has taught in Naples, Connecticut, and Tampa. She has taught sixth through twelfth grades and was an academic literacy coach and college counselor for five years.
Jamie is married to Jimi Kiner, the head swim coach at The University of Tampa, and has two daughters.
